Dversus

FALL WINTER 2024/25

The meeting with Gioia took place on the beach. Elegant, strong, kind woman. Immensely chic, of course.

The first year she arrived at the beach in a wheelchair. The second she walked, perhaps supported by her husband or daughter. She has a titanium leg, from the knee down.

That wonderful serenity she exudes in her different ability was a great inspiration for the Dversus Autumn | Winter 24/25 collection. Gioia forcefully teaches us that diversity is in the eye of the beholder; it is not differences that divide us, but the inability to accept them. The uniqueness of each of us is beautiful, always, because it speaks precisely of us and our history.

Thank you, Gioia, for inspiring us with asymmetrical knits, sleeves that differ from each other, cuffs that are now ribbed and now unfinished, different finenesses in the same knit, imbalances in lengths, hanging threads. All dressed in neutral tones, from whites to warm beiges and earth tones, passing by stone and chic-chic ruby reds and solid blues, anticipated by pale sky blues, ochre and plum.
